01About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website. By browsing it, donating through it or contacting us through it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains what we do with any information you give us.
02Who we are
This site is run by Afghanistan Education Action (AEA), a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, number 1208464.

03Using the site
You are welcome to read, print and share this site for your own non-commercial use, and to link to any page on it.
Please do not use it to do anything unlawful, to attempt to gain access to parts of it that are not public, to interfere with how it works for other people, or to collect information from it automatically at a scale that affects its availability.
04Content and copyright
The text, images, graphics and design of this site belong to AEA or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright.
You may quote short passages with credit to Afghanistan Education Action. Please ask us before reproducing a page in full, using our name or logo, or using any image of a classroom or a student — these images are handled carefully for the safety of the people we teach, and we need to know where they will appear.
05Donations
Donations made through this site are processed by Raisely. You will see exactly what you are giving, and whether it is a single or a monthly gift, before you confirm.
Your gift funds our charitable work. Unless you tell us it is for a particular purpose, and we have agreed to accept it on that basis, we will use it wherever the need across our schools is greatest.
Monthly gifts
You can change or cancel a monthly donation at any time, through the receipt the donation platform sends you or by asking us.
Mistakes and refunds
Donations are gifts, so they are not normally refundable. But if you donated in error, gave the wrong amount, or believe your card was used without your permission, contact us within 14 days and we will look into it and refund you where it is right to do so.
06Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give, at no cost to you.
To make a declaration you must pay enough UK Income or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year to cover the amount claimed on all your donations to charity. Please tell us if your circumstances change or if you stop paying enough tax, so we can stop claiming.
07Accuracy of information
We take care to keep this site accurate and up to date. Figures describing our work are drawn from our annual report and relate to the year stated.
Even so, the site is published for general information. It is not professional advice, and we cannot promise it is complete or free of error at every moment. Please contact us if you need to rely on something you read here.
08Links to other websites
Where we link to another organisation — a donation platform, a news report about our students, a partner — we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
09Availability of the site
We would like this site to be available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable for any period.
10Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales.
11Enquiries, volunteering and registration
Contacting us through this site does not create any agreement between us. An enquiry about volunteering or teaching is the start of a conversation, not an offer of a role; our volunteer roles involve working with young people, so they are subject to our own checks.
Our schools accept new students every day. To ask about joining a class, get in touch through this website.
Get in touch12Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and will post any changes on this page. This version is effective from 16 October 2026.
